I am always forgetting things. This is one of them. There are two different key combinations with which you can start command line (cmd) when in WinPE (Windows PreInstallation Environment). In normal Windows Setup, when you just boot installation media from DVD or USB flash disk, you can press Shift-F10 to open command line.

Build your scripts independently and test their functionality prior to placing them inside of your WinPE. Then mount your winPE so you can edit it and place all of your scripts in the winPEMounting command:DISM /Mount-WIM /WimFile:C.dir of where your wine is locatedISOsourcesboot.wim /index:1 /MountDir:mountThen place your scripts inside of a folder inside your mount folder (which now should have stuff inside of it). Once that completed, you can easily call them by modifying the.WindowsSystem32startnet.cmd file.NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE the first line wpeinit.
Just add after it: start Save and close.Keep in mind: if you are doing scripts inside of winPE that handles anything with the NIC, you will need to insert the network drivers into your WinPE. Once your winpe loads, it automatically calls startnet.cmd first. Some tutorials to do so can be located. I added a batch file to the bootable WinPE image that performs many of these task. It first checks to ensure you are actually running WinPE (and not running the batch file from another OS).
I've been playing around in WinPe environments lately. Right now I currently have a usb stick that I have configured to boot to a dos environment. So when it boots it just comes to a command pronpt (c:). I have an Acronis WinPe boot disk that I wouldlike to copy to my stick and call the acronis software from DOS. Normally you boot to the Acronis disc and it loads the winpe environment, then it runs its software. So actually i think i need two steps:1. Load the WinPe environment while in DOS.2.
After its loaded call the executable (I'm sure this will be easy once i figure out how to get the winpe environment up)I'm just wondering if there is any simple command that will let me load the winpe.wim file or something to that effect.Any ideas?Note: For other reasons that I wont go into, I need to keep the USB stick booting to DOS.
